We are delighted to say that The Neil Maya Quartet has been invited back to play at the 2025 Bude Jazz Festival 

At this gig we will be playing our Cartoon Jazz show

From Bebop to Betty Boop!

The Neil Maya Quartet’s latest projects takes tunes from the cartoons and gives them the jazz treatment creating a high quality, fun evening of wonderful music, usually with some audience participation too.

From Frozen to The Flintstones; Top Cat to Toy Story; The Simpsons to Sesame Street. It’s jazz – but not as we know it!

Food from 6pm. The music starts at 8pm

Expect an evening of music from the great American Song Book and more all delivered with Mama's uniquely joyful style also using Brown's wonderful grand piano.

A cosy cocktail evening with special jazz evening menu. Booking strongly advised.

The quartet is delighted to play the wonderful St Ives Jazz Club (the last jazz club before New York) for the first time with our Brubeck Project project.

As it is part of the St Ives festival this is a ticketed event. Details TBC.

For many people, the sound of Dave Brubeck’s ‘Take 5’ is the sound of jazz. This popular American pianist and composer, who died just a few years ago, did more than perhaps anyone to bring jazz into the popular mainstream. Now Devon based musician Neil Maya has put together a group of some of the finest musicians in the South West to authentically reproduce the best known Dave Brubeck recordings such as ‘It’s a Raggy Waltz’, ‘Blue Rondo a la Turk’, ‘Unsquare Dance’ and of course ‘Take 5’.
