Hi and thanks for stopping by.
Music has been with me since early childhood. I feel very privileged to be able to earn my living as a musician.
As is the way with the arts, I do a number of different disciplines within music. I play soprano, alto, and tenor saxes and clarinet professionally. I teach clarinet and sax and some jazz piano, as well as running various groups including a big band, jazz bands, a soul funk band and workshops (usually with a improvisational slant). I also do some arranging and composing and quite a bit of band leading. My influences and interests lie primarily in jazz and classical music, but I also love working with salsa, funk, soul, motown, blues and more. Oh and by the way, I read music, play by ear and improvise to a high standard.
